My Work

I've created over 100 pieces of content for small businesses and agencies — personality quizzes, website copy, emails, brand comms, long-form SEO-driven articles, social media posts, and product announcements.

To hasten your decision-making process, I've put together highlights of my 6+ years of marketing experience so you can see my range and results.

Brand & Growth

I began leading Brand & Growth at Famasi Africa in 2023, and some key areas I've worked on are:

  1. Lifecycle Marketing
  2. Partnerships
  3. API Documentation

While some of what this role entails doesn't directly show up in the metrics you might be tracking, they're the systems that keep those metrics sustainable at scale. For example, collaborating with Design on Famasi's Brand Guide means company culture stays consistent across all touchpoints and customers remain happy with each interaction.

In 2023 we produced Famasi's first annual recap. I collaborated with Design to bring it to life. For the best experience, view it on desktop — Famasi's Care Recap, 2023.

Organic search contributed to 53.1% of website traffic in 2023, and we recorded a 127.80% increase in branded search. We've also maintained an average growth rate of 20% MoM.

Copywriting/UX Writing

There's a connection between poetry and copywriting, so I have poetry to thank for knowing how to write concise copy.

From landing pages to success & error messages, product descriptions, emails, in-app messages, service pages, and more, I'm particular about guiding the audience toward the next desired action. That means collaborating closely with design and engineering to ship content aligned with the experience.

Customer testimonial

At Ladd Agency (now Ecom Capital), I wrote website copy for 300 Shopify stores and, as a QA reviewer, edited copy for 56 stores.

Big Oak Supplies, Tactical Edge, and Double D Outfitters are three of the 356 Shopify stores under my belt. Check out their case studies here.

Product Marketing

I love launching things, whether that's service updates, new partnerships, or fresh product features. Planning is how you avoid launching into the void.

When Famasi Africa launched early access, I built a “Road to February 9” plan, covering every promo material ahead of time. It generated meaningful buzz before launch day. Since then I've managed announcements for product updates, partnerships, and the closure of Famasi's pre-seed round.

We tripled our launch goal. It created good operational problems but validated the Famasi mission — simplifying medications and personalising care.

Audience Education

I produced 960 quizzes for Proprofs.com across topics like phlebotomy, cosmetology, cybersecurity, Star Wars, and outdoor activities. They functioned as exam prep resources globally.

As Content Manager and Storytelling Lead at Famasi Africa, I ensure people get the health answers they need in humane language. The experience matters as much as the message.

We grew website impressions by 2670% in 2022.

Demand Generation

At Wordify, I wrote copy for 151 landing pages to drive awareness and sign-ups for Shopify tools Burst and Hatchful. The SEO-friendly, conversion-oriented pages helped Shopify capture significant traffic — read the case study here.

With consistent, relevant content I also generated and captured demand for Famasi Africa's services.

Social Media Marketing

Startup life means wearing many hats. As the only marketing hire at one point, I owned Famasi's social strategy, content creation, calendars, scheduling, engagement, and analytics. I set the tone across touchpoints and built humane, helpful support experiences.

Some favourite creations:

In 2022, we recorded 11.5% and 5.6% engagement rates on Twitter and Instagram respectively, lifted social visits by 354%, and 22.07% of website traffic came from socials.

Side Projects

I started my marketing journey with my Instagram account, even though I didn't realise it at the time. Zuckerberg's takeover pushed me away, but I'm easing back into it.

Vizible Africa

Vizible showcases some of the most interesting tech products in Africa. Alongside the founder, I hosted Twitter Spaces about the realities of building on the continent, bringing in guests to share knowledge. My proudest moment remains crafting personality types with matching descriptions, which became an onboarding quiz used to drive launch engagement.
