AbdulKhaliq Akinwunmi
I’m a marketer. I used to mainly freelance and sign NDAs. Now I lead Brand & Growth at Famasi Africa, across socials, email, product, web, and offline.
But I wasn’t always a marketer. At first, I wanted to be an engineer. However, I left the science department after a term because of Physics — the last class I attended involved a Vernier Calliper and I still remember how zoned out I was. Eventually, I studied law in my spare time due to curiosity — my other options were English Language and International Relations, and I wasn’t curious enough about either.
Like a customer’s journey, it took a bunch of phases to land on marketing, one of which was my Instagram, where I’ve been writing short-form since 2017. Ultimately, this led to being a Copywriter.
The engineer thing didn’t entirely go away, though. Somewhere in there I started building tools that simplify my work. Here, I document stuff I’m curious about, my opinions, and learnings. If you’d like to chat, I’m mostly on Twitter minding my business. Otherwise, send an email.
Things I Build
Usually because I got tired of doing the thing by hand.
Boring Tasks Today
Small tools that make boring things easier. Each does one thing and stops there.

The ones I built because I needed them at work, then kept using.

Documented as I go, mostly so I can find it again later.
